Too darn hot!

Adelaide. Autumn. 38 degrees again next week. Planting? Not on your nelly.

hot day

What to do instead?

  1. Put the drip irrigation on to keep the garden alive
  2. Cover up the more sensitive plants
  3. Get inside, get as naked as possible and eat an ice block
  4. Browse winter recipes and dream of cooler weather
  5. Write a list of all the vegies for those winter recipes
  6. Plan where to plant them – remember to rotate crops
  7. Order seeds so you’ll be ready to go
  8. Make a list of garden jobs for when the weather cools off
  9. Turn off the drippers (if you don’t have a timer)
  10. Have a nap
